Wear the Good Socks

The other day, as I was getting dressed for my workout, I reached into my sock drawer and pulled out my old athletic socks. Next to those were my relatively new Bombas socks. (Love them!)

Why am I choosing the old and worn socks over the new comfy socks? This seems to be a long-standing habit, especially when it comes to my clothing. I’ll wear an old white tee to death rather than wearing the new white tee. What am I “saving” the new tee for? No idea.

I’ve heard of other women who are “saving” the nice dishes or stemware, the spa gift card or fancy candles… What are we all waiting for?

So today, armed with my new awareness, I made a point to wear my new Z-Supply tank (tag was still on it!), my bottom-of-the-pile rarely worn corduroy shorts, and the new Birkenstock sandals my friend Sue gave me.

YOUR TURN: What have you been “saving” that you can begin enjoying today?
